RANDOM is the electro-digital dub project started by Matt.B and Ian Hartley in the winter 2003 in Tokyo. Soon in the spring 2004 they released a critically acclaimed self produced demo "Cuts One", a mix of electronica and dub cuts. Following the overwhelming positve response to RaNDom's independently released e.p, "point two" in the winter 2004, RaNDom have taken a subtle shift in direction, and a blending of the elements which have made their live shows from London's Alexandra Palace to Tokyo's WOMB such a success, and which have also ensured their tracks are now regualrly played by chill out luminaries such as Nova (Ultimae Records) , and Gaudi (Interchill Records).

The inclusion of tablaist Shinsuke Inoue (a long term student of the revered Kul Bhushan Bhargava) and Zak Bond (zen Drums) has added a new percussive drive and flexibility to the live intrumentation and digital manipulation that is RaNDom. RaNDom's tracks have been released so far on Celestial Dragon (HK), Em:t records (UK) , Interchill (Canada) , Native State Rec (U.S.)

RaNDom have been playing around the globe with a talented roster of electronic music artists such as Youth, Gaudi, Kaya Project, DJ FOod, Talving Sigh to name a few.
